week end.

Phew, this home improvement stuff wears me out. I feel like I've been doing hill intervals all day when I've hardley touched the bike. In fact today was the first ride on the road since the Giro. We two home inspections from Mr I'm gonna be a dick to you Mr homeowner. Gotta get one more on monday..

I'm thinking I'll scratch the points race this weekend. More meetings with kitchen installer, hope that one goes better then expected.

I'm sorto looking forward to some tracking this weekend. Tracey's got all the gears, tools, etc. Its going to be a long one. I'll be looking forward to Monday when I fly to AZ and bake for a few days.

True, inspectors are either your best buddy or worst enemy....sometimes in the same trip out.

Call me we have some bike rides to book.

My new gig has me off on a weekday when I work on Sat.

I see some nice long rides in our future.

I was the GC on the construction of our new home two years ago and I did about 15% of the construction myself.

I looked at the inspectors as someone who was making sure that the contractors were doing certain things the way they're supposed to, not just the way that would save themselves time and costs.

I never had a problem with an inspector or the 22 inspections, because I viewed the inspectors as someone who was protecting my interests and those of anyone who might live in the home after us.

Trying to live in your house while it's being worked on is stressful, but at least it's a learning experience!

:-)! I don't like to end a season on a bad note (Larry's crash and injury in our nat's team sprint that we would have won by a big margin), but that was my last race of the season. I am deeply tired after 8 years of hard training, so I'm looking forward to no real training until maybe next summer. Tahoe Century on the 22nd with my very tolerant wife... She's going to kick my butt on the climb over Donner Summit! Can I borrow your legs?

Good luck with those contractors. You may have to go good cop/bad cop on them sometimes, or maybe even pursuiter/sprinter!

Feel your pain, guys, though I've only tasted that in little doses. Pace yourselves, remember that you're each doing it to make a happy place for both of you, enjoy it when it's done!
