Mc-Lame again

Well bike shops are goin to be busy re-building wheels, selling carbon frames and over-all fixing. Now that the Mclane crash fest is out of the way I'm very happy to report that my Proman girl and I escaped with-out and broken bikes, loss of skin etc. However we did spend a bit of time that afternoon at the Merdec hospital with one of her teamates...she is one tough chick! And a very classy young and talented rider. She'll do well this year for sure!

Long drives with the girl are so good for the soul after working and traveling, time to conect and just talk, no TV, no email, just the radio and the Tomtom that chimes in whenever we need to take a turn. We were trying to figure out why we like riding/racing our bikes so much...could it be the glory?? no.. the $$$...no... the excuse to eat just about whatever we want...no..

It came down to not fitting in as a kid, being called the human zamboni (the machine that sweeps the ice between periods) at the hockey rink, not really excelling at anything except taking long rides alone or with a few kids from the hood...just a sense of freedom.

I had alot of that on wed when I did a 120 miler down the coast to Santa Cruz with a few of the US's top pros. I 'm looking forward to keeping an eye these guys on the NRC results

The tailwind was great, the coffee just before Santa Cruz was better then expected & then up and over hwy 9 back home. Just can't pass up those days.

Sunny daze..ahead

Out for a quick spin before spending yet another weekend in the Central Valley for some racin. The start of yet another racing season and I think we let the cat out of the bag for the year.

The men in Blue will be racing hard this year! Last weekend we had 10 guys and it will take us a bit to get in sync, but we are off to a great start.

Was nice to come home to see 3000 cases+ of orders on the fax...yhea baby.
